Plugin Manuals are live

Scope, DeltaScope and Align now have full manuals. There's a Manual link on every plugin page, top and bottom. I've spent the year building faster than I was documenting; that gap is now closed.

But nobody wants to read a post about documentation. So instead, here are five things from inside the manuals that you might not know these plugins can do.

1. Your delay, in centimetres

Align's readouts don't just show milliseconds and samples. Click the Distance readout and it converts the shift to metres, or feet and inches, at the speed of sound. Nudge a snare bottom mic into place and the readout tells you the microphone spacing you just corrected. When the misalignment is literally a mic position, work in the unit the room works in.

2. Measure a note without touching it

Hold Alt and hover over any waveform in DeltaScope. It auto-detects one cycle of the fundamental at your cursor and measures it: frequency, nearest note name, sub-cent accurate on stable pitches. No dragging, no guessing periods off the grid. If you'd rather select by hand, drag-measuring snaps its edges to zero crossings for you.

3. Lock the display to the note you're playing

Send MIDI to DeltaScope and the timebase follows your playing: the window becomes exactly one wavelength of whatever note you hold, so the waveform stands still at any pitch. Hold a note, tweak your patch, and watch the shape morph in place. Sound design with your eyes open. The octave slider widens or tightens the view by up to four octaves.

4. Hear what your compressor took

Delta mode shows the difference between two signals, but Hear the Delta plays it. Route your unprocessed track into the sidechain, press SC, then Delta: what comes out of your monitors is only what your processing changed. What the compressor caught. What the EQ reshaped. If the two signals null, the line goes flat and the room goes silent.

5. Fix a kick and bass in under a minute

The Align manual opens with the whole workflow: DeltaScope on the bass with the kick as its reference, drag Align's Coarse delay until the transients land together, then Rotation until the low end sums solid. When no amount of delay fixes it, the problem is rotational, not temporal. The scope confirms it; your monitors agree.

The reshuffle

Getting the manuals up forced a decision about where documentation should live, and that turned into a little reshuffling of the website. There's now a single Support page: every manual, DIY build guide, block diagram and quickstart, for every product we make, modules and plugins alike, plus the FAQ and the boring-but-important pages. One place. It's in the nav.

Support took the nav slot Modular Grid used to occupy. Those links didn't die: each module page now carries its own ModularGrid link, where it's actually useful. And the plugin pages finally admit they're related: DeltaScope points at Align, and Align points back: one shows you the problem, the other fixes it. Any old PDF links you've bookmarked still work; everything redirects.
