Scope and DeltaScope 1.2.0: more free tools, Windows support and an introductory offer
Scope gains free zoom, pan and freeze. Both plugins add Windows support, AAX, CLAP and Colour by Frequency, while DeltaScope adds Multi FFT for clearer bass detail. Celebrate 1.2.0 with 1,200 DeltaScope licences at 50% off using DELTASCOPE50.

There are now 460 of you using our plugins. Thank you for putting your trust in Apollo View and helping an independent company get its tools into more hands.
Scope and DeltaScope 1.2.0 are here. This release brings 37 additions, improvements and fixes to Scope, and 76 changes to DeltaScope. Some changes benefit both products, but each has plenty of its own to explore.
For Scope users, that means more ways to inspect your audio, still completely free. Both plugins now run on Windows and add AAX and CLAP support. And to mark the release, there are 1,200 DeltaScope licences available at half price with code DELTASCOPE50.
More tools in your free Scope
Zoom, pan and freeze were previously DeltaScope features. With 1.2.0, they are part of the free Scope too.
Freeze holds the waveform on screen while the audio keeps playing. Catch a beat, zoom into a transient and pan across it at your own pace. It gives you time to study the shape of a sound instead of trying to catch every detail as it passes.
See frequency in colour
Colour by Frequency colours the waveform according to its frequency content, from red in the bass through green to violet at the top. A kick underneath hi-hats can show both at once, helping you see where different parts of the sound sit in the spectrum.
Both plugins gain this waveform view. DeltaScope also lets you colour the spectrum curves by frequency, including their peak-hold lines, with separate switches for the main and sidechain signals.
Now on Windows, and in Pro Tools
Scope and DeltaScope now run on Windows 10 or later, 64-bit. Your existing licence key covers Mac and Windows, so you can use the same plugin on either machine.
Both products also add AAX and CLAP. The Mac installers include VST3, AU, AAX and CLAP; the Windows installers include VST3, AAX and CLAP. That brings both plugins to Pro Tools for the first time and adds CLAP support for compatible hosts such as Bitwig Studio and REAPER.
If a friend has been waiting for Windows support, this is a good time to let them know.
A smoother display and settings that stay within reach
The display takes less work to draw, with smoother zooming and timebase changes and a finer trace on Retina screens. Several instances can share the display more comfortably, and moving a plugin window between monitors with different scaling no longer leaves it blank or incorrectly sized.
Settings now open inside the plugin window, with a category list down the left and a layout that fits the window. About, the update check and the manual are there too, while General contains your licence details.
Frame a note, capture a view, share a setup
The free-run timebase now offers note units alongside milliseconds and hertz. Choose a note from C0 to C8, or enter a frequency, and use the ×1/×2/×4 control to choose how many cycles fill the window. Existing projects keep their saved view.
Both plugins can export the current display as a high-resolution PNG, keeping the lanes, grid and labels while leaving out the controls. DeltaScope includes its analyser curves and peak-hold lines too. It is useful for explaining a technique, comparing notes or sharing what you have found.
Settings can also be exported and imported. Save your setup, move it to another machine or share it with someone else.
Go further with DeltaScope
DeltaScope adds spectrum analysis, detailed metering and tools for comparing signals. Use it to investigate how your kick and bass line up, explore timing and phase, or compare audio before and after processing. Delta mode lets you see and hear the difference between signals, helping you understand what your processing is doing.
Version 1.2.0 introduces Multi FFT, which separates closely spaced bass frequencies more clearly while keeping the rest of the spectrum responsive. The low end responds more slowly while it is enabled, a trade-off for the extra detail.
Delta analysis has also improved. The waveform, spectrum, measurement readout and Hear Delta output now use the same difference signal throughout. The Magnitude view follows the tonal balance of reverbs and delays, and links between instances are more reliable through playback starts, stops, loops and position jumps.
There are plenty of smaller refinements too, from cleaner peak-hold behaviour to more reliable MIDI note-lock and signal alignment.

Already bought DeltaScope at full price?
You helped make this possible. You should already have received a personal email from me with your own discount code for current and future Apollo View software products. If it hasn’t reached you, please get in touch and I’ll sort it out.
Get the update, and tell a friend
Existing users can open Settings, About, then Check for Update, or download the new installer from their licence portal.
Scope remains completely free. DeltaScope has a demo with every feature enabled and brief periodic interruptions until activated.
