Scope and DeltaScope 1.3.0: Catalina, one-lane stereo, less memory, and a date for the offer
Both plugins now run on macOS Catalina, put Left and Right in one lane, use much less memory and freeze a moment you can look at from any angle. DeltaScope stays half price with DELTASCOPE50, now until 31 December 2026.

Scope and DeltaScope 1.3.0 are out today, free for everyone who already has them.
This release started with three people. A DeltaScope user on macOS Catalina who could not install it. Another who wanted Left and Right drawn in one lane. And me, wanting the plugins to use less memory. Freeze picked up the biggest upgrade it has had along the way.
Back to Catalina
Until now both plugins needed macOS 13 Ventura. A user running Live 11 on an Intel Mac with Catalina asked whether that could change. It could: 1.3 runs on macOS 10.15 Catalina and later, and they tested the build on their own machine before release. Windows is unchanged, 10 or later, 64-bit. Align still needs Ventura for now.
Left and Right in one lane
Click the active L/R button again and Left and Right share one lane at full height, Right drawn in front of Left. In DeltaScope the same works for Mid and Side. With the two channels on top of each other, the places they differ are the places you see.
The Stereo button is now labelled L/R, which is what it always did.
Less memory
Each instance now keeps only the audio history its window needs, and an open window takes much less memory than before, most of all at the larger FFT sizes and the longest bar windows. If you put a scope on every track, this one is for you.
The scope also holds 64 seconds of audio at every sample rate, which is 16 bars down to 60 BPM.
Freeze, then look around
In DeltaScope, Freeze now holds the scope, the spectrum analyser and the meters at the same moment, and you can look at that moment in any channel mode, comparison mode, FFT size or timebase. Freeze on a bar, switch to a quarter note and zoom in on one hit. The last 8 seconds are kept.
In Scope, the frozen picture follows the timebase and the zoom: a moment that has already left a short window comes back at a longer division.
Smaller things
An integrated loudness reading no longer restarts when you open Settings or Naked mode. An offline bounce always passes the audio through untouched, whatever Hear the Delta and Hear the Sum say. On Windows, a window moved to a monitor with a different display scale now follows that scale, and Ableton Live with Auto-Scale Plug-In Window off opens at the right size at 125%. The release notes have the rest.
The offer, now with a date
In September I said 1,200 DeltaScope licences would go at half price, and that the offer would end when they were gone. I have changed that. It now runs until 31 December 2026, with no count.
A date is clear for everyone. A count was something only I could see. A fixed end is also how the rest of the industry runs offers, and it means I can list it on KVR, whose deals need one. The principle from that post stands: no sale calendar. This is the same introductory offer, with an end you can see.
DeltaScope is £25 instead of £50 (€30 instead of €60, $32.50 instead of $65) with DELTASCOPE50. From the DeltaScope page the code is applied for you at checkout. It works for friends too, so pass it on.
Get the update
Open Settings, About, then Check for Update, or download the new installer from your licence portal. Scope is free, with nothing locked. DeltaScope has a demo with every feature enabled and brief periodic interruptions until activated.

Two of the changes in this release came from two of you asking. If there is something you would like in 1.4, tell me.
